Researchers have uncovered the mechanism by which certain skin rejuvenation techniques work. In particular, therapies such as laser therapy, microneedling, and facial abrasion cause temporary damage to the skin that release self-noncoding double-strandedRNA (dsRNA) molecules. These, in turn, stimulate regeneration.
