August is Psoriasis Awareness Month: The National Psoriasis Foundation launches campaign to raise di

To mark Psoriasis Awareness month in Aug., the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is planning a campaign that your patients will have an opportunity to be involved in.

On Monday, Aug. 1, the campaign will begin with a virtual kick off on psoriasisawarenessmonth.org, a website designed to educate patients, caregivers and professionals about psoriatic disease, while encouraging them to get involved in raising awareness. Each Monday in August, a new theme will be unlocked featuring educational articles, blogs, webcasts, and engaging social media content.

During the campaign, individuals will be encouraged to participate each week through interactive challenges with the opportunity to win prizes. The top prize for the final week’s challenge is a trip to Chicago that includes roundtrip airfare for two and a two-night hotel stay to attend the NPF 2017 National Volunteer Conference being held on May 4 to 6, 2017.

The campaign challenges will run through to September and winners will be announced on World Psoriasis Day on Oct. 29, 2016, according to the NPF.
